Information from Peter Karlsson (STIGA) to D.M.V. Sports Madison
When my opponent pushes my serve deep in the backhand corner I use the backhand loop. Then anticipate the spin and the height of the ball. I take my forearm towards my stomach and I keep my wrist relaxed and have the elbow further out than the racket. At the same time I bend my right knee and twist my hips so my right shoulder goes forward. My center of gravity is in front of me. As my racket goes forward towards the ball I keep my elbow fixed. (Don't pull the elbow to the right). Throughout the shot I keep my head tilted, chin tucked in to have good eye contact with the ball. I hit the ball at the top of the bounce.
Good luck! |
