All players that use optimizers (or "boosters" know that there are big chances to get chips when removing the rubbers. To avoid it, we recommend to apply a thin layer of varnish on the blade. It is important to use special table tennis varnish and to apply it evenly. Remember after the application of varnish it will be more difficult to glue the rubbers for the first few times. D.M.V. Sports Madison also recommend to sand the edges of the blade to allow better gluing of the rubbers.
